About The Company
Our client is a specialist construction estimating firm supporting subcontractors, commercial builders and quantity surveyors across Australia. They provide accurate, independent cost insights that reduce risk and enable smarter project decisions, backed by a practical, trade-aligned understanding of how projects are truly built. With fast turnarounds and structured documentation, they're growing rapidly and building out a strong, experienced estimating team.
About The Opportunity
The primary purpose of this position is to prepare accurate, detailed estimates and tender submissions across a range of commercial construction projects, while developing your skills within a growing estimating team.
Reporting directly to the Business Director/Owner, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing accurate estimates and ensuring tenders are submitted on time
- Reviewing drawings and specifications, including structural (concrete, earthworks), fit-out and refurbishment scopes
- Preparing detailed trade breakups and bills of quantities
- Sourcing and obtaining competitive supplier and subcontractor pricing
- Analysing bid documents to identify risks and opportunities
- Working on tenders from initial documentation through to final submission
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident status
- Hands-on experience using Cubit or CostX (essential; Cubit highly regarded)
- 3+ years' commercial construction estimating experience, or relevant trade experience
- Experience tendering on structural projects (concrete, earthworks) and/or fit-out and refurbishment projects
- A genuine trade background, highly desirable
- Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
- A desire to progress into a Senior Estimator role and grow with the business
